Virtual nutrition care for adults in California

A more compassionate relationship with food and your body is possible.

Weight-inclusive, evidence-based care with Registered Dietitian Apryl Vines, at a pace that's yours. This won't become another diet: no restrictive plans, no pressure to change your body.

Maybe this sounds familiar

You've tried to get food "right" for a long time

  • You know a lot about nutrition, and it still feels complicated.
  • Food rules follow you to every meal, party, and holiday.
  • You feel like you can't trust your own hunger.
  • Thoughts about food or your body take up more room than you want.

What we believe

Food is not something you have to earn. Your worth is not determined by your weight, shape, or food choices.

Nutrition care can be evidence-based without restriction or shame. Healing can include nourishment, connection, curiosity, and joy.

Weight-inclusive · anti-diet · trauma-informed · evidence-based

Meet your dietitian

Hi, I'm Apryl. I've sat with a lot of hard food stories

Before private practice, I led residential services at two eating disorder treatment centers. Today I lead the Didactic Program in Dietetics at Cal State LA [CONFIRM: approved wording for university title], and speak nationally on nutrition, eating disorders, and the gut-brain axis.

Questions you might be holding

All questions
Will this turn into another diet?

No. This practice is weight-inclusive and anti-diet. You won't be handed a plan built on restriction or told to change your body.

Is my struggle “serious enough”?

You don't need to reach a certain point to deserve support. If food or your body takes up more of your life than you'd like, that's reason enough to talk.

How is a dietitian different from a therapist?

A dietitian focuses on nutrition, eating, and your relationship with food. A therapist addresses the emotional and psychological side. Many people benefit from both, working together.

You don't have to figure this out alone

You don't have to wait until things feel "serious enough." When you're ready, request a first appointment. We'll start wherever you are.
