About Apryl
Care that's warm, and grounded in evidence
A Registered Dietitian who has spent her career in eating disorder treatment, nutrition education, and leadership.

Hi, I'm Apryl
I've spent years alongside people whose relationships with food and their bodies had become painful, rigid, or exhausting. Before private practice, I led residential services at two eating disorder treatment centers. I now teach future dietitians and speak nationally on nutrition, eating disorders, and the gut-brain axis.
I started this practice to offer individualized, virtual nutrition counseling for adults across California: care that challenges rigid food rules and diet-culture messages, and makes room for nourishment, self-trust, and a fuller life beyond food and body preoccupation.

Mission
To help people reconnect with food and their bodies through compassionate, evidence-based nutrition care that honors individual needs, challenges shame and rigid food rules, and makes space for nourishment, joy, and a fuller life.
Vision
A world where people can nourish themselves without fear, shame, or the belief that their worth depends on their weight, appearance, or eating.
What Apryl brings to your care
- 01
Eating disorder care, from the inside
As Director of Residential Services at two residential treatment centers, Apryl has seen eating disorder care across levels of treatment and knows when more support is needed.
- 02
A teacher at heart
Apryl leads the Didactic Program in Dietetics at Cal State LA [CONFIRM: approved wording for university title] and gives national presentations and webinars, so the education you get rests on credible science.
- 03
Weight-inclusive, on purpose
This practice doesn't assume weight loss is needed for health, worth, or a good relationship with food.
- 04
The whole person
An interest in the gut-brain axis brings nutrition science into conversations about eating and well-being, without reducing mental health to gut health.
- 05
Compassion with a point of view
Harmful diet and wellness messages get challenged here, while the people who spent years believing them are met with respect.
