Is this right for me
If you're wondering, that's a good place to start
This page can't decide fit for you. That takes a real conversation. But it can help you think it through.
This care may suit you if…
Adults located in California, seeking virtual nutrition counseling.
- Food feels anxious, rigid, or full of rules
- You feel guilt or shame around eating or your body
- You've tried plan after plan and want something different
- You're in eating disorder recovery and want nutrition support alongside your care team
- Nutrition and wellness messages leave you confused
What might be holding you back
- “I'm ashamed of how I eat.”
- You'll be met with curiosity, not judgment. There's nothing you could share that would surprise or disappoint Apryl.
- “What if this becomes another diet?”
- It won't. There are no restrictive plans and no weight targets here.
- “Will I be told to lose weight?”
- No. This is a weight-inclusive practice. Your body is respected as it is.
- “Is it serious enough?”
- You don't need to reach a certain point to deserve support. If food takes up more of your life than you'd like, that's reason enough.
- “I'm worried about the cost.”
- Fees are listed openly: $200 for the first appointment and $150 for follow-ups, so you can plan.
- “Do I need a dietitian, a therapist, or both?”
- A dietitian focuses on nutrition and your relationship with food; a therapist addresses the emotional and psychological side. Many people benefit from both, working together.
When more support may be needed
Sometimes a person needs a higher level of care, a medical assessment, or a coordinated team, instead of or in addition to virtual nutrition counseling. That's decided through an individual assessment, not a checklist. If it applies to you, Apryl will talk it through with you and help with next steps.
